1. (Vacancy No. 23050901313) One vacancy for the post of Senior Farm Manager in  Central Institute of Horticulture, Nagaland, Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare (UR-01). The post is permanent.

General Central Service Group- “A” Gazetted, Non-Ministerial. Pay Scale: Level- 10 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC. Age: 35 years. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

(A) EDUCATIONAL: M.Sc. in Horticulture or Agriculture with specialization in Horticulture from a recognized University or Institute.

(B) EXPERIENCE: Three years regular experience in the field of horticulture crops production or farm management or protected cultivation from Central Government or State Government or Union Territory Administration or Public Sector Undertaking or Statutory Autonomous organization or recognized research institution or Universities.

NOTE: The Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified. DUTIES: Senior Farm Manager will be responsible for establishment of plantations, nurseries, greenhouses and all the infrastructures of the farm and their maintenance as per the guidance of Director and Horticulture Specialists of the Institute.

He/She will also be responsible for farm revenue and overall management of farm activities.

DESIRABLE: (i) Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised University or institute. (ii) At least one year experience as Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) approved Safety and Emergency Procedure (SEP) Instructor. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

(A) EDUCATIONAL: (i) A recognized MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, (102 of 1956). Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956).

(ii) Post-graduate Degree or Diploma in the concerned Speciality or Superspeciality mentioned in Section-A or Section-B in Schedule VI i.e., Master of Surgery (Ophthalmology); or Doctor of Medicine (Ophthalmology); or Diplomate National Board
(Ophthalmology) or Post Graduate Diploma in Ophthalmology; or Post Graduate Diploma in Ophthalmic Medicine and Surgery.

(B) EXPERIENCE: Three years’ experience in the concerned Speciality or super-speciality after obtaining the Post-graduate degree or five years’ experience after obtaining the Post-graduate Diploma.

Note-1: Any Post Graduate Degree or Diploma awarded by any Indian Universities, included in or excluded from, the schedules to Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956), consequent to recognition granted or withdrawn by Government of India as per provisions of the said Act shall be deemed to have been included or excluded accordingly from the Schedule-VI.

Note-2: The Post Graduate Medical Qualifications awarded by Indian Universities, must have been included in the Schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956) for the purpose of Schedule-VI. Note-3: The Controlling Authority may, in consultation with the Commission, include any medical qualification in Part A, Part B, Part C or Part D of Schedule.


Note-4: DNB qualification is subject to the provisions of the requirement prescribed in Minimum Qualifications for Teachers in Medical Institution (Amendment) Regulation 2012, amendment Notification No. MCI-12(2)/2010 Med. Misc dated 11.06.2012 or as amended from time to time Note-5: Doctorate of Medicine (D.M.) or Magister Chirurgiae (M. Ch.) qualification of three years’ duration shall be counted towards requirement of experience in the concerned broad speciality. Note-6: Doctorate of Medicine (D.M.) or Magister Chirurgiae (M.Ch.) of five years’ duration shall be taken as three years for completion of post graduate degree and the last two years of the said Doctorate of Medicine (D.M.) or Magister Chirurgiae (M.Ch.) shall be counted towards requirement of teaching experience.

HQ: New Delhi. The officers appointed to the service are Initially required to be posted at Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep, Delhi, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Bihar and Rajasthan. However, the officers appointed to the service shall be liable to serve anywhere in India.

Any Other Condition: The other conditions of service as laid down in the CHS Rules, 2014, and other rules in force from time in particular:

(i) Private practice of any kind what so ever shall not be allowed including any consultation and laboratory practice.

(ii) The candidate selected will, If so required shall be liable to serve in any Defence service or post connected with the Defence of India, for a period not less than four years including the period spent in training, if any: Provided that such officer shall not

(a) be required to serve as aforesaid after the expiry of ten years from the date of appointment or from the date of joining the service,

(b) Ordinarily be required to serve as aforesaid after attaining the age of 45 years.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATIONAL: Masters Degree in Chemistry /Organic Chemistry/ Physical Chemistry/ Inorganic Chemistry/ Analytical Chemistry/ Agricultural Chemistry and Soil Science from a recognized University or Institute. DESIRABLE: Two years experience in Ground Water Analysis and Ground Water Chemistry work from any recognized Institute or autonomous body/Government organization.

DUTIES: Chemical analysis of water samples including trace elements, heavy metals and organic compounds and assistance to Chemist. Compilation of analytical data of water sample for data quality and computerization of chemical data and preparation of report. Preparation of water quality reports, submission of progress reports and taking up field chemical analysis as per requirement for specific studies.

(ii) Completion of compulsory rotating internship candidates who may not have completed rotating internship shall be eligible to appear for the written examination provided that, if selected, they shall have satisfactorily completed the compulsory internship before appointment. Note: The qualifications granted in United Kingdom shall be recognized medical qualifications only when granted on or before 11-11-1978. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATIONAL: (i) Degree in Homoeopathy of a recognized University or Statutory State Board/Council of equivalent recognized under the Homoeopathy Central Council Act, 1973 (59 of 1973). (ii) Enrolment on State Register or Central Register of Homoeopathy.

NOTE: The Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified.

DUTIES: (i) The General Duty Medical Officer will provide comprehensive homoeopathic medical care, preventive and curative to the patients.

(ii) After examination of a patient, the General Duty Medical Officer will record symptoms and findings in brief, investigation done, diagnosis and the treatment prescribed on the OPD ticket.

(iii) The Officer will carry out such other duties as may be assigned by the Directorate from time to time. HQ : Delhi.
